All earrings are always available for purchase, but I try to do drops to highlight seasonal items. It’s a nice reminder I think. You can always message to ask me to show you pics of what I have available, for the purpose of it not being overwhelming- the only pictures of earrings on the website will be the current drop.
As this website is going live the first week of September, when it's the start of school, and fall is approaching, I think it makes sense to drop- back to school, sports, and fall all at once. For your purposes of budgeting it makes sense to me to also do Halloween rather than wait a few weeks.
General things to know about prices etc:
For our faux leather earrings, there is a smaller "top" cut that is the part that has the patterned bit. I always also pair my earrings for myself with a solid/glitter colored backing. It really lets you customize the look, because what color you choose, as well as matte versus glitter, can really change what parts of the pattern get emphasized. There is NO additional cost to adding a solid colored backing. When adding a solid colored backing- you can really choose how to customize it. You can always pick dealer's choice, which means- you leave it in my creative hands, and I choose whatever combination makes my heart sing. There is no additional cost to choosing this option. You can also state- I want purple with this set, and green with this set. When that occurs, I will send you pictures of what the patterned piece looks like with different shades of the colored backing to see which you like best. In general I usually have at LEAST 3 different shades of each color. You can also choose to have just the patterned smaller cut by itself. Some people prefer a more delicate look, and some just like the look without a backing.
We do offer clip ons at Sassy Smoot Stitches. The hardware for this is more expensive, so if it is a larger order (there will be a $1 charge added to the order (just $1 per order, not per pair of earrings). All of our earring hardware is hypoallergenic! It has been tested by someone who has metal allergies and she had no problems. For necklaces, we offer hypoallergenic chains, or cords in various colors.
Prices for crochet or cross stitch earrings will be listed on each individual picture. Hover over pictures to see the image descriptions. Charm earrings are $2 per pair. Faux leather earrings are $5 per pair, I am currently offering what I think is the best bundle I've ever offered-buy 3, get one free. That’s 4 pairs of earrings for $15. Previous bundles save you $1 per pair of earrings, but this saves you $1.25 per pair. I do love a good deal, and I like offering them to my customers! <3
Fall
Things to know unique to the fall drop: Fall features preserved leaves- that's right, real leaves that I have preserved! They are lightweight and get tons of compliments when you wear them.
Pricing for preserved leaf jewelry is as follows- Earrings, $7, Necklace $8, Pin $7.
The other unique thing to the Fall drop is the cut to the teardrop earrings. When I cut the faux leather for some of these, I was SO taken by the designs and how gorgeous that I wanted to showcase as much of them as possible. So I chose to make two different version for those- both the smaller cuts that could have a solid colored backing behind, and also larger cuts that would show more. The larger cuts CANNOT have a solid colored backing behind as they are the same size.
